About the Course
The Program Development for Nonprofit Leaders course is a practical three-day intensive designed for nonprofit founders, executive directors, program managers, and organizational leaders who want to develop programs that are mission-aligned, responsive to community needs, measurable, and positioned for long-term success.
Participants will move through the program-development process—from identifying community needs and establishing goals to designing, implementing, evaluating, sustaining, and scaling effective nonprofit programs. The curriculum also addresses resource management, stakeholder engagement, collaboration, leadership, and program promotion.
Through hands-on exercises, case studies, interactive discussions, and practical planning activities, participants will apply what they learn to a real or proposed program. The training culminates in the development of a Program Development Proposal that incorporates the needs assessment, program design, implementation strategy, monitoring and evaluation, and sustainability planning.
