Week 1 – Know the Game: Understanding Grants & Funders

  • What exactly is a grant? How does it work?

  • Types of funding: federal, foundation, state, and private

  • How funders think and how to align with their goals

  • Where to find the right grants (free and paid tools)

  • Creating your personal “Grant Watch List”

Week 2 – Get Grant Ready: Registration & Compliance

  • Do you need to be a nonprofit? What if you’re for-profit?

  • Required registrations (SAM.gov, UEI, IRS, etc.)

  • Organizational readiness checklist

  • Common compliance mistakes that block funding

  • Tools to stay organized and "grant-ready" year-round

Week 3 – Hustle with a Plan: Program Clarity & Design

  • Developing a fundable idea (even if you're just starting)

  • Identifying your problem, solution, and beneficiaries

  • Building a simplified logic model or outcome map
